Immediate, Easy and Free Access to Capital

We can fund your clients within 48 hours upon approval.  Bank loan approval takes much longer. Our funding process is incredibly easy.  We don’t need any income documents or guarantees from you or your firm. Our fees are paid by your clients, only if their case is successful.  This means you have access to capital at zero cost to you and your firm.

Don’t Tie Up Your Capital or Credit

No matter how successful your practice is, having access to credit means survival for all law firms.  Our funding of your clients’ monthly living advances allows you to outsource to us your clients’ monthly living expenses.  This saves your capital and lines of credit for hard case costs such as experts, medical treatment and other costs.

Your Clients Have Shared Ownership

When your clients call you for a monthly advance, they views that money as free of any costs.  They’re likely to ask for more (and often unnecessary) funds simply because they may be receiving it at little or no cost to them.  Using our funds for their monthly expenses allows them to be a part of the process, and bear the cost of their advances.

A Program Especially for Attorneys Who Represent Injured Maritime Workers

A maritime and Jones Act case is not like a car accident case.  You are representing workers who now likely receive only small maintenance checks each month.  And if they were receiving advances from their company, those have likely been terminated since they hired you.

Predatory lending makes your job harder. We understand this. Unlike some funding companies, we do NOT encourage single unnecessarily large checks for your clients that can be spent too quickly.  Instead our goal is to set up your Jones Act clients with month to month payments that allow them to pay their necessary bills while you handle their claim to its best request.  We request that each client seeking funds provide us with a listing of monthly expenses.  This allows us to have a conversation with them about how much they really need to survive during their case.  If we help them keep their advances down, it makes your job easier at settlement time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have any input in settlement of the case or how it is handled by my office?

NO. Absolutely not!  We do not in any way try to influence the case or its result.  The handling, settlement or trying of the case is left entirely up to you and your law firm.

Do I owe any of the funds back if my client’s case is not successful?

NO. Our funds are provided to your client as strictly ‘non-recourse’ funds. This means neither he nor you or your law firm owe any money if your client’s case does not receive a recovery.

What documents are needed from me to obtain funding for my clients?

On each funding amount you will be required to sign a simple one page document. We also ask that basic information be provided regarding the case, and certain key documents be provided to us if they are available. These documents include any accident reports, recorded statements, key medical records and wage reports. These documents may be redacted to satisfy privacy concerns.

Do you have any hidden costs?

NO. Many litigation advance funders use “rate buckets” which force your clients to pay a minimum cost for their funds, regardless of the length of time they need the funds. We do not use such tactics. We offer simple, clear terms so there are no surprises for your clients. This all makes your job easier at the time of settlement.

How much are your charges for your funds?

Our program was set up in response to the extremely high cost of non-recourse litigation funds through other programs. We fund solid maritime cases that have a high potential value, but still present an inherent risk of limited or no recovery. Our fees allow you to compare our cost of funds for your clients with speciality litigation lenders. Our costs are comparable to their approximate 30% annual rates, but at no recourse to you or your clients. Please note that our rates may vary depending on several factors including risk of case.
