What type of cases do you normally fund?
We are the only maritime exclusive litigation funder. This makes a difference. Don’t lump your case in with car wreck plaintiffs who often seek a fast, large check even when they don’t need the money. This sort of funding drives up the cost of the money you need. Stay with other injured maritime workers who reasonably request what they and their families need to pay monthly bills during their cases.
Do you make it easy for me to get an advance each month?
The vast majority of funds provided by other litigation advance companies are single, one time advances. They are simply not set up to offer recurring monthly advances or direct deposit into your bank account. Through our application process you can apply for recurring monthly advances and get full approval for such when you apply. This lets you rest easy each month knowing you have funds coming in, again and again. Like we say, “…we pick up where your company left you”.
Do you have any hidden fees?
Most non-recourse litigation funders use tricky terms such as ‘rate buckets’ and charging ongoing fees on single ‘one time’ administrative charges. This allows them to greatly increase the amount you owe at settlement. They often use repayment periods, meaning you repay a certain amount based on a broad time range of repayment. We use a simple monthly rate structures. There are no high ‘balloon’ costs if your settles one or two months later than expected.
